 I was thinking of a platform that is similar to dating apps but its purpose would be to find someone who has the same interests as you do. It will give all categories to choose from whether it is movie, music, art, food. I think it will be interesting to talk to someone who is as passionate as you are about certain things, create small communities where everybody is on the same page. 

 I have not contributed to our WikiPage. Since the topic for my term paper was TikTok, Youtube and its influnces, I am doing more searches regarding TikTok and Youtube. The impacts of these two platfroms on us. I want to do get know more about TikTok since it is getting the most recognition.

You can access and transfer information from one computer to another.  P2P file sharing is a peer to peer file sharing, allows users to access the file they wanted.  Some media platforms share your personal information. Although some have a feature that allows you to share something for the public or personal view but it is still saved in the cloud of the application. 

 If I was hired by Baruch to use media, I would make it a platform for all students so they interact with each other. You do not meet with other students if they are not the same major or program as you are. SO the platform will let you share your opinions about classes, professors, or professional interestsю

 I personally think that the media helps to be more creative and explore more things. Like posting pictures or videos with different content. I feel like the more creative you are the more interest you catch as an individual and also you grow.  I created an Instagram page and a Youtube channel for my sister. She wanted to sell clothes jewelry so I helped her to organize a page for her. As for Youtube, she likes to post short videos on her media then we decided to create a Youtube channel. 

What are different ways these virtual worlds can be used? What are the pros and cons? Be specific. How do virtual worlds foster creativity? What do you think the future of virtual worlds will look like? Pros The VR gives the opportunity to communicate with different people and form new connections. Collaborative learning can encourage students and help them focus more on studying. Cons It causes addiction to the virtual world, which leads to health issues.  I feel like when you post something on Twitter, you do not need sound professional and be formal. You can express your thoughts however you like to. But when I use Blackboard discussion, I have to be professional and make sure that my words make sense and relate to the object of discussion. Also, I cannot use emojis. For the in-class discussion, you can use gestures to express yourself and you do not need to sound so formal in-class discussions.   

  Visit Facebook, Twitter - and TWO other social networking site of your choosing. Compare your impressions of these 4 sites. Note that you probably should register and log in to get the complete picture. Facebook: You can have a sense of connection by texting people who live far. Also, you can post there your opinion and have discussions with others. Twitter: I feel like Twitter gives us the ability to express our thoughts freely regarding any topic. For example, it can be about the recent presidential debate or celebrities. Also, you can respond to others' posts and share your opinion.  Instagram: This huge platform can be used to meet new people either it is for business-related stuff or just for friendship. You can see what people post, what they are interested in, and in that way you can find people with mutual interests. Tumblr: It allows users to post blogs, pictures. On Tumblr, you post more casual posts. 

  What are some ways (corporate and otherwise) that these technologies can be used? What are the benefits of these technologies to society? Be specific. Is there a "dark side"? Make sure to include your opinion of the way these technologies might evolve in the future.  Seeing how technology is advancing, we can say that it is the most important thing in today's world. It involves in everything such as education, healthcare, communication, etc.  Now that we all have to be home, technology benefits us in connecting and meeting with each other virtually, having the ability to call, video chat, and even creating a group chat.  I think one of the biggest disadvantages "dark side" of technology is privacy concerns.   Compare and contrast blogs and wikis. Comment on the importance of convergence in today's networked world. How can blogs be used for collaboration? Can you think of a new use for a wiki that has not been done yet? Both Blog and Wiki are part of the Web 2.0 revolution.  I chose this topic on websites. We can get any information, everything we need to know from the websites. I will show the impacts of the websites. What positive and negative impacts it has on society. How it constantly keeps changing.  As examples, I will be discussing Youtube and Tiktok, as these two sites have a really large community.
